Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using NORM ("the Platform"), operated by BHVD Inc., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. The Service
NORM is a public beta for documenting marketing claims, visible evidence, provenance, and assessment status. Zero NORM version 1.1 assessments have been published. Legacy v8 test runs are internal calibration data and are excluded from public coverage and rankings. NORM is not a government regulator, certification body, medical authority, or substitute for professional advice.
3. Intellectual Property
NORM software, private pipeline implementations, visual design, trademarks, and original editorial material are the intellectual property of BHVD Inc. Public methodology documents may be read, cited, and linked with accurate attribution. Protected materials include:
- Private claim capture and evidence assessment software
- Unpublished weighting, validation, and quality control implementations
- The NORM badge and interface systems
- All visual design, branding, and user interface elements
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or data structures of the Platform's scoring engine.
4. Data Usage & Restrictions
Future public records may be quoted, linked, and discussed with accurate attribution and without implying NORM endorsement. Reasonable automated access must respect published technical controls and rate limits. Specifically:
- No false attribution. Do not modify a NORM finding and present it as NORM's conclusion.
- No endorsement claim. A record does not mean NORM approves, certifies, or recommends a brand or product.
- No abusive automation. Do not evade access controls, overload the service, or collect private account data.
- Attribution required. Any permitted republication must identify NORM, the record status, the method version, and the capture date.
5. API Terms
No public assessment API is currently offered. Any future public data interface may change during beta and may be rate limited or suspended for abuse. An API response would not be a certification, regulatory determination, product recommendation, or assurance of completeness.
6. Badge and Certification Claims
NORM does not currently authorize public claims that a brand is NORM approved, certified, verified, or compliant. Any future badge program will require a separate written license, a current qualifying record, clear limitations, and continuing review.
7. Commercial Separation
Brands may pay for workflow or monitoring tools. Payment does not purchase a finding, score change, suppression, favorable treatment, or a different evidence standard. Material commercial relationships must be disclosed in the relevant public record.
8. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when registering. One account per individual.
9. Limitation of Liability
NORM documentation and any future records are provided "as is" without warranties of completeness, accuracy, fitness, or continued availability. A future record would reflect only the material captured and reviewed at a stated time. Claims, evidence, products, and findings may change. Users must not rely on NORM as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, safety, or purchasing decisions.
10. Corrections and Challenges
Anyone may submit a documented correction. A brand may challenge source accuracy, context, product matching, or a finding without purchasing a service. NORM may preserve a public correction history and disclose material changes.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time for violations of these terms, including but not limited to scraping, unauthorized redistribution, or abuse of the API.
12. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
